In keeping with the rapid advances being made in all engineering disciplines, there has also been concomitant developments in metallurgical and materials engineering. The challenges faced by the metallurgical industries with respect to dwindling natural resources, stringent environmental regulations and global competition has provided an impetus for the development of improved equipment and machinery as well as novel technologies.

The technical programme will focus on theoretical and practical concepts, advanced and fundamental applications, proposed and existing processing technologies and the present and future of minerals, metals and materials research.

Leading experts from academia, research institutions and industries have been invited to participate and share their knowledge.
